My leg so getting ready to brief I get notified from ops that I'm to go operate another flight. Thus is 35 min to push. I make some calls told I need to fly it. No rest issues so off I go.

I'm at layover now it's a 3 day trip. We flew 8.2 block today. 11 hour layover to a 3 leg 7.6 block hour tomorrow.

Why do we bid???

Hats off to you HBTH I agree with your statement.
That's great. You're going to get paid double pay for what you fly plus single pay for your original rotation. Just accept the pay and laugh. It is what it is.

This happens all the time.
The company willfully violating the contract when it benefits them. I'm shocked shocked I tell you! Its been quite the last 12 months of violations from scope to scheduling. If they were actually held accountable as we are they would have been shut down months ago for willfull noncompliance/ neglence.

Sadly the new MEC chair will not hold their feet to the coals like the last one did. I have so little trust in management it's just sad.

not trying to be argumentative but didn’t those scope violations start and continue under the last Chairman? What has the current Chair done different, either in action or signaling?

Of course! But didn't you know Schiitlzer was a true pilot advocate and Ambrosi will give in on scope to the company...insert eye roll here.

This thread may be overlooking the other parts of the shuffle. I like both the gentlemen taking over the functions RG performed.

I'd also observe that RG had literally nothing to do with some of the things he got blamed for by the pilots. The culprit of those problems is still around, but he seems "nicer."

Maybe this is a career broadening move so that he can advance to SVP.

You're going to get paid handsomely for that inconvenience. One of the few parts of our PWA where the punishment fits the crime

PSA: You too can prevent Forrest fires.

Why are we looking for violation compensation rather than compliance? Bassackwards! F’em. Why should I comply with the PWA (reserve call out window or sick usage) if they don’t?

I think BS is slated for that space.

Far more suited for it than RG ever will be. Plus BS is a really good dude. Knew him from his Expressjet days. He's on point and I would welcome him moving up to SVP.
