Do you ever get tired of being perennially butthurt?
Please explain what a UNA 'nuance' is, because yeah, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Please stop with the childish name calling. If you insist on a personal back and forth arguing ad nauseam try to keep it on an adult level.

Thank You

I think that profits for 2021 will be elusive and not much if we eke out a profit. So 2022 might be profitable, but I bet we'd spend a lot of 2022 getting to a contract. I think a soft money approach would be more successful and not generate the headlines that the Company and the gov't might find tough on a PR front (after taking all the stimulus money).

Look at Southwest - my buddy over there made $400k last year, not working too much either. Their reroute rules are outstanding - he made 32.9 TFP (28.8 hrs pay) for a three day trip, because they got rerouted and extended a day - and his last day was just a DH so he just deadheaded home on day 2. Also, like someone else said, "Improved reroute rules" doesn't anger flight attendants or make headlines. Something like 1.5x pay for each day your rotation changes - no carveouts for mechanical or whatever. Trip changes - 1.5x per day of change.

Second - medical costs. Other airlines have a zero cost medical plan option. I wish we could get some more money to lower the cost of DPMP. That's something that most people would utilize at some point here. I hate being lumped in with all the other employees who can realistically go to work with ailments that we cannot. I'd bet we spent significantly more in medical in order to keep out medical certificate. For the younger pilots, this may seem not very useful, but wait until you have a kid - you'll be spending some $$ at the doctors office.

You wouldn’t understand because, according to him,

So ....
pretty modest "ask"....certainly not a bank buster, it is achievable and way way less than what was being touted before. The previous ask was so outlandish IMO....management laughed and the issue became so divisive that the pilot group went even try to understand the situation. To them it is a money grab, when quite possibly there may be some merit to the issue.

Normally I would say let the union work it out, unfortunately last time their ask "poisoned the well" due to it's extremis,,,,,,,and so, here we are
'07 and later hire have no pension or PBGC so this would apply to only the top half of the active list. If you increase the post bankruptcy hires by 2% in contributions over the "pensioners" that would seem about fair.

He's repeating Buck Roger's thoughts on the pilot group....not his own.

Well, in all fairness that is not quite true. The gist of what I said is that the vast majority of pilots might have a general awareness of most subjects but don't dig much deeper that what they need to know as to how it affects them....I said their knowledge is topic specific.(the post where I explained this is gone but post 180 and 181 have it achieved). If you will reference those posts and take them in context (a discussion about DZer's) I think most readers will find it to be reasonable.

But if one wants to import "offense" I guess one could twist it around....clip things out of context , and then incessantly whine like a petulant child.

After the "basterdized" discussions I have seen about the complicated UNA's return and bidding rights, I am more than certain the vast majority of pilots that have been here more than 20 years (DZer's)are uninformed re UNA.issues(nuances)(I am). I gave 5 questions to put my statement in context. If one is determined to be offended, they can always find a way that works in their own mind.

OBTW....sometimes a lot of context is missed if one starts mid way through a thread instead of at the nexus
So to state it categorically....all pilots at Delta are way above the average in intellect. Most only intimately know what affects them. so, they might be topically ignorant.
