He's referencing the 35 RJ issue in the 35 RJ thread, while asking about the arbitration for the 35 RJ issue in the 35 RJ thread. I understand trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but the readers can only read what he said, not what he meant. I also think you are incorrectly assuming he had a wider point.

To some degree, we would be solving the company's problem for them ... .
A few NYC trips begin with a DH to ATL. Guess hotel rooms in NYC really are that big of a problem.
We need the Georgia Legislature to stop trying to impose fuel taxes that drive Ultra Long Haul flying to other bases.

Why do you think it is fuel taxes that 'drive' that flying to other bases? ATL is a hub. It is our largest hub, but it is still a hub just like NYC and DTW and SEA. Unless you could show that the O&D traffic out of ATL is sufficient to support regular flights to SYD and BOM and the like, it really matters not whether or not the flying goes from there. And I would wager that if it DID support that kind of flying, DAL would buy a fleet JV partner that could do it.

Agree...anyone can log onto DeltaNet and read the Flight Standards analysis of ATL-JNB. The 350 will be load limited from about 70% to 90% depending on time of year. Sydney is further from ATL.

It is common sense to learn the perspectives of your counter-party and downright foolish not to.
