I thought we were maxed out at 1100-1300 per year. If my maths are correct, that’s 2400 next year. How’re we going to do that?

Shrink each sim period by ~15 minutes, shorten the prebriefs. A periods get in the sim earlier. That allows E periods to be used for all pilots not just new hires since it’ll get done before the cutoff time (1 am??).

But yet we have pilots waiting months for OE and TOE?
I don’t think we can do that.

So I'm going to 220 in 2 weeks. January LAX7ER. If these new hires are going to 7ER now, am I converted for purposes of pay or do I need someone junior to me same base too

It would be same category (base, equipment, seat). Im pretty sure (like 99.999%) they can put new hires in an unbid position before they convert all pilots from an AE anyway

Isn’t the OE/TOE wait limited mainly to the ER? We are ramping up quite a bit of TATL 7ER flying starting July 2. I think the TOE backlog will start clearing pretty quick.

Ah didn't know that, yeah ok thanks. I'm like 4 from bottom in LAX so I assume this scenario won't be happening for me then.

We just retired 77 Maddogs, 10 737s, 9 320s and 18 777s.
VEOP plus age 65: about 2k dudes left.
Deliveries are at 34 ac this year, 32 in 2022.

If hiring is so aggressive what are these dude going to fly? Unless there is a monster order ready to be announced with super fast deliveries..

E periods already being utilized on most fleets.

We still have 56 planes parked and I remember reading 2 months ago 717 is bringing more back that were originally retired. (Fleet newsletter).... Thought I heard the same for 320/7ER's

I haven't seen any E periods scheduled on 220. I would have happily taken the extra money to do it, lol
