Not true. It's specified in the contract: PWA 2.a. b.

Seniority numbers will be assigned to individuals on the first day of their new-hire training in the following order:

Company transferees will be assigned the lowest seniority numbers within the class, in order of their most recent date of employment with the Company, then
New-hires will be assigned seniority numbers on the basis of the last four digits of each individual’s social security number. Individuals with the higher numbers will be assigned the lowest seniority numbers.

thank you!
Also, expect to work 12-16 days a month right now, it's just a question of whether you have the flexibility to roll some degree of thunder or work the days they assign you. Building so many six day trips means that they are hard to cover if you only have 4 day blocks of reserve, so they are broken up and/or handed out as 4 and 6 day green slips. Even some of the most junior in ATL or NYC have been able to grind out 6-9 days of GS pay (or more) the last couple of months. Flipping the switch back to an almost exclusively international category has left the company without the requisite FO to CA ratio and FOs are in shorter supply. YMMV.

How common are longer than 4 day trips in general? If I get the job I'll be looking at the best way to get into SEA, so that would be probably a 737 bid

Domestic categories don’t have anything longer than 5 days. The bid packs are a mix, depending on the fleet/base. Anecdotally there seem to be very few 1 days in SEA, with most trips 3-4 days.

The 330 in SEA is mostly 6 days if you’re going to Europe, with an occasional 7 day. 3-4 days if going to Asia.

Default Conditional

Hello all

Has anyone received this kind of email ?

“ We are excited to share that you have conditionally cleared pre-employment for Delta Air Lines! This means that we will permit you to start working pending clearance of all criminal background checks. We are working to confirm your start date and you will receive additional onboarding information soon.

No immediate action is needed from you at this time but if more information is needed to complete your background check, you will receive notification via email. Please keep an eye on your inbox as a prompt response will be required. Note that if you are unable to satisfactorily resolve any potential discrepancies in your criminal background check, your employment may be terminated.”
