New Hire Class Drops
#3791
Absolutely worth the jump, I left with almost 5 years on property and would have been in upgrade class now. Night and day difference between the two airlines.

Schedule flexibility is quite different just from the sake of what is call a 3 tier system. On one hand you have the widebody flying the other is RJ type 717 flying which is what I chose. I’m never more than one time frame off from home and a lot of times remain in it. Zero red eyes or transcons which is another pro in my book. Then there’s the 73/ER/Airbus which does similar flying as what I was used to but with the benefit of having bases all over the country. I find the flying to be more efficient because of the route structure and there’s more variety. Upgrades for now are shorter, more retirements, and what looks like actual growth vs the Alaska model of just upsizing aircraft. The current contract is much more mature and will only get better vs the Alaska current one only being a copy paste of some of the Delta scheduling sections and a bit more money, a lot of that won’t be implemented for some time. I could keep going but it would turn into a run on novel more than it already has. All in all it’ll take me 14 months from when I started to get back to my old pay rate assuming I don’t upgrade between now and then.

any lowdown on the SEA base? Curious of the three NB’s there what provides the best schedule and seniority movement. Also an AS guy with an interview.
