Dont engage with Finessed. He likes to pose as a Delta pilot but I think he’s a very accomplished troll. And please don’t tell regional guys you’re in favor of pulling the rug out from under a couple thousand of them and all they have to do is put in an application, like it’s that easy getting on at a major. Most have wanted to work here for years, and the fact they aren’t here yet isn’t because of a lack of effort.

Ok. Actually if that is the case, then it was excellent because I bought it. I just don’t want the rest of the EDV guys to get the wrong idea. They’ve been very respectful on this thread, about a polarizing issue. I didn’t want something to change the respectful dialog. Carry on, Sir.

Let me say this though in respect to your comment on “EDV guys being very respectful” lmao, that’s beyond arrogant, but I’ll just sit back and sip my tea as an OO guy. While “EDV guys” “respectfully” request to be stapled to DL seniority, hence removing SkyWest and Republic flying, are you under the illusion those pilots (OO, YX) wouldn’t be hurt? Would both airlines recover? Yeah most likely, but we have LAX, SLC, MSP, DTW pilots that would get screwed by such a scenario. Plenty of DL sons and daughters at OO as well may I add, I’ve flown with a few.
It will be interesting to see what happens in all of this, I’m intrigued. Respectfully I love the idea of career progression for any pilot group.
Just had to voice my opinion on reading some of these post that are essentially requesting to be given more of an opportunity (which I agree with, to an extent) while remarkably in the same post pushing for the removal of other DL partners.

Yeah I bought it too, laughed at that whole exchange. “Finessed” certainly knows how to troll the room, someone always takes the bait with an emotional response, every. single. time.

The Comair strike taught management that they never want to have a dominant regional affiliate again. Having the flying spread over several carriers is how it’s going to be.

I didn't say it was. It is very simple. It doesn't matter what airplanes they buy. We shouldn't care. We have a payscale. If they want to buy an entire fleet of 747s or 717s, it. doesn't. matter. I have been here 30 years. I should make more than a guy that has been here 10. If I have been here 30 years and my copilot has been here 30 years, I still make more because he is in the right seat. If you insist on injecting aircraft size into the equation, management loves you, and you and I have nothing further to say because you will never get it. Don't ***** about money and QOL. You are getting exactly what you want.

Beyond arrogant? Me? I’m a Delta Pilot so if you believe what you read on these boards, you can assume I’m an arrogant POS with just that one piece of information. And I actually thought I was in the 35 more RJ thread. I never said I agreed with everything every EDV Pilot thought on the subject. I never said I agreed with cutting Skywest or Republic flying to bolster the Endeavor group. I actually don’t think I read any of that, but I don’t come here every day. On the other thread, when some history was being shared last week or two, I thought the discussion was very civil, and that is what I was referring to. All the bickering back and forth gets so tiresome. I was a regional guy before this, and sometimes the (a very few) military straight to Major pilots have expressed the opinion that regional guys and girls are less capable or less deserving of a spot at the majors (not recently, but I’ve seen it before) and I was afraid that’s where this was heading. Delta Management is going to do what they think is best for Delta Air Lines, and bickering back and forth over, and even sharing our opinions about what we think would be best, is just mental masturbation. It’s fine when it stays civil, but when people (yourself included) get worked up, or think for a second that any of it is possible because some EDV Pilot mentioned it on this board (like enough flying will get yanked from Skywest to affect your job security) is “beyond” ridiculous. It was probably mentioned by one of the trolls that have been active lately.

Oh trust me, these individuals are not “trolls”, except one who I believe was finally banned. I’m sorry for making the assumption you read some of this crap I’ve been reading. You’re correct, it is mental masturbation. The reason I responded to you specifically was to avoid responding to some of these hacks asking for the world by taking it away from everyone else.
No problems brother. Don’t let it bother you. Skywest is a very reliable partner and I wouldn’t be worried about losing a single block hour of flying. My commute went from mainline to pretty much Skywest exclusively, and you all do a great job....except for one MSP Australian or New Zealand FA who loves talking on the PA. I’ve never heard so many PA’s in a 50 minute flight as this FA. Absolutely Brutal. Honestly 5-10 minutes of quiet time total.
Have a great rest of your day!
