It was in 1969.......

He can’t have any 737 time….if so, he’s delusional.

Point taken. I've lived a sheltered life. The only Boeing NB I've flown was the 757. Most of my Boeing experience is 767 and 777. All 3 of those Boeings felt like well engineered machines next to the plastic feel of the A330. Despite the cheap plastic feel I did prefer the sidestick and tray option.

Not comfortable, but a pleasure to hand-fly and yes, finely engineered.

I’m a average about 2-3 MEL’s/mo.

oooooh I am not so sure I agree with this entirely. I do agree with the design by committee idea, but if anything, Airbus is an airplane by engineers for engineers. It's right there in the way you operate it. "Managed" this or that. The flight controls don't really have much if any 'feel'. Yeah Boeings are mostly fly by wire, but at least they give you the pretense of thinking you are moving control surfaces. That's why I said earlier for takeoffs and landings, give me a Boeing yoke all day long, but if I am in that seat for 14 hours at cruise... it's really nice to eat in a civilized manner and not to have to do Pilates in the endeavour.

Is an honest jet to hand fly..

Engineering fails:

Recall system

Wing frost

Climate control

Noise level on flight deck

I don’t think the original iteration of MCAS can be referred to as “finely engineered”.

Those are just the highlights but the list can go on and on.

The Recall system is due to bean-counters not wanting to upgrade since the 1960's. Most of your list is due to the same thing.

I'll admit the MCAS was an engineering disaster.

Another exception: Climate Control? I've flown 8 jets, the 737 and 757/767 have by far the most powerful packs. Cools down in a jiffy.

I’ll give you the packs are good but the temperature keeping ability is garbage on some aircraft.

If the recall actually worked..it wouldn’t be horrible.

Also, A/T wake up and VNAV that'll fly you into the zipper..and climate control on a -900 is awful unless you like the feeling of gaspers that feel like someone breathing on your neck.
