Therein lies the problem with pilots negotiating. You did not specify trained Delta pilots. So by default, KLM will operate those and Delta would be happy to sign that deal.

“It’s that simple” should not ever be used in the same sentence as a hypothetical scope scenario at this airline.

You want to sell RJ scope for widebodies correct?

It’s Moakism….got to sell something to get something. No matter that Delta's profit had increased exponentially in the last 10 years(-COVID), they still are of the mindset that the pilots size of the pie remains constant at all times.

I can’t believe I hear guys say that we lost money due to the rejection of TA1. Time value of money is the rational.

Nobody lost money on the rejection of TA1 however we did agree to concessions in some areas on TA2. We are however losing a ton of money on not getting the last contract done ontime. We would be starting contract surveys next fall to exchange openers on contact 2023 in April of next year. We lost a entire improvement cycle.

I don't WANT to, but I would in a New York second for the conditions I set out. You are worried about a handful of jobs at the bottom end of the seniority list and I am worried about jobs throughout the seniority list. I'd give them all the RJs they wanted for the conditions set.

Change my mind.

You and I are gonna be lucky to see this contract signed before we leave, and I have a short 5 years to go

Not exactly what is being said. Stop thinking small.

And fwiw, TVM is a real thing. Might not be a good rational for signing a less than stellar deal, but it does exist and to dismiss it out of hand is myopic.
