28%! That just sums it up for me. Literally takes like a minute to complete. We don’t have a union at all. Hoping for the best but

Just an update.

I've had interactions with MC over various issues of concern from a dues paying member of the Union in good standing.

As a good thing, I would say he is responsive. However, the content and tone of his message is that of talking to a chief pilot (management).

He has not shown me he's a pilot advocate - yet. One question I asked recently was where he stands when MOU 21-01 runs out. What's he going to advocate? Crickets. I did get boilerplate "DALPA is against mandatory vaccinations". OK, great, but how are you going to protect those of us who are not going to get jabbed AFTER 1 Nov. There is more than one of us. It's not a small number. Again, crickets.

There are other examples, like reserve rules, coverage awards and the litany of things we like to ***** about contract wise. This isn't a regional, where he "served" before. I don't think he has very good grasp of DAL history with the pilot group and our contract evolutions. JM did.

28% turnout, certainly not a mandate. I guess I should expect this from now on.

JMHO.

Well what if he said, "hey man, we're going to fight this but the company legally gets to tell us to get a vax. Obviously we will put lawyers on it but I'm not a magician. Im told the law is settled, let me give you every possible option on ways you might qualify to not take the vax, but no union can change settled law."

So what you're saying is you want someone to pander to you and tell you things that are not legally allowed or possible. Also, you're "I'm a dues paying member..." statement is such a bloated and useless comment. We literally all are dues paying and in good standing. It doesn't give you any special treatment from anyone.

It sounds like you went into the interactions either intentionally trying to find things to complain about or "get him" with the intent of smearing him on social media. And, from the sound of it, you have no clue about how unions work within the confines of the RLA. Furthermore, you take no time in demeaning him because of his prior service and association with a "inferior"( regional) airline..

And what on earth do you expect him to say when you complain about reserve rules, etc that JM would say different? You know, other than pander?
