There are other examples, like reserve rules, coverage awards and the litany of things we like to ***** about contract wise. This isn't a regional, where he "served" before. I don't think he has very good grasp of DAL history with the pilot group and our contract evolutions. JM did.
28% turnout, certainly not a mandate. I guess I should expect this from now on.
JMHO.
What? Does being in a union at a regional not count or something?
Also, I don't know why I'm bothering.

Once upon a time prolly 90% of all Delta pilot new hires were ex military. Consequently, they also are the ones who became union volunteers and reps. They did alot to fix some of the most onerous parts of the contract over the years. Why the hate? A stronger more unified results when everyone rows together.

I worked at a regional as well. Funny you guys seem to forget that part when bashing me.
WHen I have issues with kompany, I don't want a kompany man to be my representative to them.
His answers to my interrogatives were really no different than comms with the CPO or what I read in the FLT OPs bulletins. I wouldn't be surprised to see him working in the CPO or some management function In the very near future. Seems we have something if a revolving door here.
He should take a class on unionism from the Council 16 reps.
JMHO.
Hey on that note, didn't DALPA say we'd have the email survey out in early Sept? It's almost October. Wonder what the delay is?

But most certainly a degree from ERAU or some other "Harvard of the sky" and a few years at a regional make you any better?
I don't think so.

Some how our degrees in Engineering, the applied sciences, time in DC working in the acquisition budgeting, strategic planning, attaches at US Embassies, foreign service officers, pol mil advisors no, none of that prepares us for anything. Many bring a few decades of experience in with them outside of aviation.
