I agree. We should be unified. Drum here is trying to throw his rep under the bus because his email replies aren't bombastic enough.

There’s no hate. It’s about the “prerequisite” insinuated by drum.

I’ve delt with Marc several times, he’s genuinely trying to to good job for us. That’s all I can ask of any rep. He’s been in for 2 friggin months give him a break.

Because Drum slammed the regional airline experience. A better choice would be to slam Drum and not all mil but i think he was trying to do tit for tat.

I worked at a regional as well. Funny you guys seem to forget that part when bashing me.

WHen I have issues with kompany, I don't want a kompany man to be my representative to them.

His answers to my interrogatives were really no different than comms with the CPO or what I read in the FLT OPs bulletins. I wouldn't be surprised to see him working in the CPO or some management function In the very near future. Seems we have something if a revolving door here.

He should take a class on unionism from the Council 16 reps.

JMHO.
Hey on that note, didn't DALPA say we'd have the email survey out in early Sept? It's almost October. Wonder what the delay is?
Well at least you're honest? LOL, that we forget you worked at a regional! What are we supposed to be keeping track of your employment history?

And asking about a remark you made about a fellow pilot who volunteered for union work at a regional is not "bashing" you.

No hate for ex-mil folks at all. Everyone brings something valuable to the table. But saying someone who worked in a union at another airline with probably a more difficult management than ours is not good experience is hard for me to believe.

It must be exhausting trying to feign superiority over everyone else all the time

Reps are not unassailable. They answer to us.

Especially those foisted upon a 28% of population vote (perhaps the saddest part of this evolution).

I voiced my opinion based on my interactions. I do care, that is why I communicte with my reps.

Again. JMHO.

That sounds like a bigot. To malign a whole group of people because you are not in that group and draw broad sweeping conclusions based on , in this case, 1 individual. Yea, that sounds reasonable….NOT!, …. Therefor the push back. Kinda offense to me and 50% of his Delta brethren…. JMHO

then be upset at drum for starting the mud slinging…

No one said anything disparaging about mil pilots Buck. Last time I checked military pilots (as in those on active duty or serving in the reserves) are not represented by a union. It has been my experience that many people who just separated from the military (pilots or otherwise) don’t understand or fully appreciate what a union does and why they are good because it has not been part of their life before. That’s not to say they can’t learn, but it is not a given. compare that to many civilian pilots have worked at union shops before, (or at the case of skywest they at least have seen via their competitors the benefits of unions) have volunteered in union activities, been reps, etc.

the military, in many ways, very design and function is counter to what a union typically strives for. It’s not a leap to assume that those getting out of the military are not savvy on union workings
