Thanks, I was referring to flights to get to ATL for Indoc. Not sure if that has changed in the new hiring process.

Employee number 1-2 weeks before indoc. “They” did not automatically schedule me a flight. You’ll receive reporting instructions about a week or so before class. Those instructions include directions on how to request positive space through Pilot Assist. You’ll send them an email with the required info. If you are one week before class without that email, I’d call pilot onboarding and tell them you’re missing the welcome logistics packet.

Ok, thanks so much for that info!

Dec 1st interview

I also interviewed December 1st and just today got the email from the background company to submit pria stuff...How long after you submitted that stuff did they take to give you a class?

Hey guys I got invited for an interview next month in two weeks. A buddy of mine already received his emails regarding his flights to and from ATL and interview confirmation. I still haven't received mine and was wondering if I should wait tell the Friday before like it says before calling or I should call now? Can anyone shed light on this if it happened to them and I should just wait or will it hurt to call early.

Everyone’s experience is different. I interviewed November 4th and still do not have a class date. My PRIA is complete but background is not.

I got first background check email a week after interview and was offered a class a week after that. My class start date was 3 weeks from the offer (5 weeks from interview).

Background check times vary wildly. If the background company contacts an employer or a city or something from your past and they are slow, the whole thing gets delayed. If it’s been excessive, most recommend contacting the background company because they have occasionally misplaced peoples’ files.

I’d definity reach out to the background company and make sure they didn’t mess up your case.

I’m in the same boat. Background check company had no more information and the one email the Talent Team replied to was “finalizing details”. I’m unsure of the timeline after the “PRIA background complete” email (got it 2 weeks ago) until a class date.

2 1/2 weeks. But I have only worked for one company in the last 7 years so only 1 PRIA request went out. I think that kept it short.

So I just crossed 20 years of being in the Air Force, and my check-ride is due on March 31st. If I retired before that would I be making a mistake or look bad or anything like that?

I’ve had 14 check-rides in the Air Force with no failures, but I would honor the check-ride and study and prepare like I always do but that would take time and effort where I’d most likely put the airlines on hold until after the check-ride was completed. I could potentially retire prior to March 31st though with terminal leave and such. The main advantage of doing that would be to solely focus on the airlines with the interview prep and everything else that goes with getting hired and not getting the “come back in 6 months thing”. I could potentially go fly for regional as well if the majors do not hire me by then. Also, trying to post in the correct forum, so apologize if this question is in the wrong spot.

Thanks
