I am currently with an ALPA carrier.

If you search Google for "Delta PWA" an older one comes up as the first result. We've gotten a new contract since then, in 2016 so it's not the most up to date. But you can see what its like.

I had a Monday 130p slot and got the assessment invite Tuesday at 9a, with the login and password email following slightly after midnight. Planning to take it tonight or Friday.

What’s your stats if you don’t mind me asking? I was also Monday, 130pm

Degree Required?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if Delta has hired many pilots recently without a degree? I've been living in Canada and working for Air Canada for the past 4 years and have recently been thinking of making the move to the US and hopefully working for an American carrier so I don't have to commute to Canada. I'm married to a US citizen and am waiting for my Green Card. I'm wondering if I should finish my degree before applying, I currently have a 2 year Aviation Diploma from an aviation college in BC. My credentials are:

6000 hours TT
1100 hours PIC Q400
3000 Hours on A320

I flew for our regional in Canada (Jazz Aviation) for 3 years and now with Air Canada for 4, do I have a chance of being hired at Delta or is there more I can do to make myself a better candidate? Sorry I'm new to how things work south of the Canadian border so any info would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Let them be the judge of your competitiveness. With them relaxing the degree requirement and barring your working rights (which looks like you're about to attain), I wouldn't wait to apply. The length of time you have an application on file also counts.

Delta Career Expo question..

Hello everyone! I just attended the Delta Career Expo on the 2nd of May. I was in the 1:30pm slot, and felt that my recruiter, and I, we're operating on different wavelengths. Regardless, I felt it was a positive experience, and feel just as "competitive" as she admitted. Do we know whether the recruiters have a direct say in whether you get an assessment email, or is it a box to check on the application side of things? Any ideas, or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Curious as to if anyone else who went to the career expo has received an assessment invite?

I went to the TPNx expo on the 23rd, I just got the assessment invite yesterday. Give it some time.

For reference:
3950TT
1900 Turbine
1250 TPIC (Part 135)
1 Heavy type rating with <50 hours in type.
No Internal Recs

I went to the Delta Pilot Expo on the 2nd and was one of the first to meet with a recruiter, enjoyed it and thought it went well. The CA/recruiter I met with said resume looked great, told him I had an app review and 2 internals and asked what else I could be doing… he said just keep doing what I’m doing and to expect the assessment, hope to receive that email!

curious how many have already received the assessment or invite already.

They definitely are hiring those without a degree. I have similar times as you and start next month
I’m living proof
