I did tell a friend last night that's I'd rather do a 1-hour computer assessment and a 1-day interview with only HR and psych then have to spend a month studying that Naval Aviator's guide to whatever and fifteen other sources of info hoping that I can cram the right stuff into my brain.

Anyone that gets invited to take the assessment obviously has a resume that should hold up well. The assessment should mean you have the basic brain wiring to fly the plane and be trainable, the HR part makes sure you fit into the culture and the psych test I guess makes sure you are not a mental health threat?

Anyway, I've been waiting forever for a shot at Delta. At this point I'll play whatever game they want me to if I can have a chance to make my case to someone there that I would be a good fit.

exactly my point. If they have the resume, they check out with doc, and HR, then who needs a stupid COG test.
I’d rather they spend more time with HR/interview team doing anything….desktop situation/“standup”, hell even just go eat a meal with them. Anything to spend more time with them and see if they show cracks of fibbing on resume/real persona.
you touched on it; the cog assessment is a silly game.

Let’s be honest. It’s what the company wants. If you don’t want to do it, don’t. I’m sure there are others out there that will hire you. They have to do something to see if you are willing to put in some work to get the job.

i already did it, and got hired.
I just think there are better ways to see if a candidate is a good fit with us

I almost think the second day was to make sure you didn’t party too hard after getting the CJO and make sure you’d show up on time. Then the shrink on the second day to check to make sure you weren’t too hungover to go to work?

Assessment

Just got the email to complete assessment to start hiring process. Any idea what to expect for assessment? What it entails? Thanks in advance.

Mostly brain games such as the following:

Select aircraft placement in space given this HSI and RMI

Sudoku style box to select a missing pattern for a specific box

Listen to these ATC transmissions and select the correct read back

Click the screen when the two shapes pop up that match

Multi task for time (identify correct or incorrect addition/subtraction problem, identify repetitive pattern yes/no, move a ball to go through the opening) all happening at once

Race through a tunnel using your mouse through openings of moving objects

Personality questions

Does anyone know how having/not having COVID vaccine prior to interview will affect decision by hiring team? There is a
statement on invite that says those not vaccinated MUST wear masks during interview, no exceptions. Also any intel on what to expect during interview will be helpful, nothing current posted on aviationinterviews.com

Why would you interview at Delta without being vaccinated? If I were interviewing you, I would certainly question your desire/motivation to work here.

Just get the first dose before going to the interview. That might get you some extra points for “hey, I just took my first shot, because I really want to work here”.

On a second note, what is the desired attire to wear? I hear a grey suit (conservative) with perhaps a red tie ?
