Are you legally eligible for employment? If no legal/visa barriers, then times are probably competitive, though I don't know how much that is going to change with the slowdown in hiring.

I have a green card, i assume that will cover the legal issues. Will new orders for A350-1000 change the hiring numbers or is that already accounted for you reckon?

That won’t change the hiring numbers. These deliveries starts in 2026.

With the slowdown, 1,000 a year still a good amount.

Totally forgot about delivery schedule. 1000 is definetly a good amount of people considering in my current company we have 5000 pilots total. Maybe i can be 1 of those lucky 1000

Strongly appreciate any suggestions/recommendations.
P.S. I am a Airbus fanboy by heart

Just so you are aware, your previous experience has no bearing on what aircraft you would potentially be assigned to as a newhire here. Your seniority in class will be determined by the last 4 of your SSN (9999 is high 0000 is low). The aircraft available to your newhire class and your seniority within it will be the sole variables there. This is a big difference from the way it is done at many carriers in other countries. Same story at American and United.

I thought seniority was based on age in newhire class(i don't know what gave me that idea), thanks for the information. I follow new hire class topics time to time, honestly i am not picky about aircrafts, i just feel comfortable thinking i might switch to WB Airbus down the line

Each company is different. AA is by age. Delta is by last 4SS and UAL I have no clue.

Also age, oldest most senior

Delta was that way too, until they got sued by someone for age discrimination!

That's why they transitioned to the last 4 SS#.

I would love to meet the person who had the dedication, time and resources to pull this one off. But hey thanks for the info. And as far as i know last 4 digits of SSN is pretty random right?

Yes, very random. And if you're not a US Citizen you don't have a SS#, right? I don't know how they handle that.
