all the trips are put out to bid on. Which trips you fly and how those trips are arranged is what PBS does, but the trips you bid on are all pre constructed.

Two different perspectives which I value tremendously. I try to gather as many perspectives/opinions and try to pick up the pertinent pieces that are relevant to me and weigh in my own pros and cons. I do appreciate the different viewpoints.
A little more info about me that will help, I'm 20 minutes away from LAX. So my commute cannot be beat. Got a family of 4, 2 boys (1 and 4 year old) and my hot wife. Don't mind spending time with my family and don't mind being away from them either. The 330 would be nice but I'd have to commute to SEA unless Delta decides to put it here. I think the 220 (more regional flying) is more of a possibility in the near future seeing how it was in the plans before covid hit.

FWIW, the 220 doesn’t do “regional” flying. I’ve been on it since we had them and yes we started with LGA-BOS out the wazoo but I recently finished a 5 day that was 1–2-2-2-1 legs and am middle of the road seniority. The 220 as it sits right now is the best kept NB secret because you aren’t getting worked to death on it. But I digress as this is a 7ER thread

Is it going to stay that way when we get more flying? I flew the 175 with 1-2 legs a day so that to me is regional flying. I'd imagine the schedule's been truncated down due to covid but there is no 220 base here so not sure what the flying is like. I'm assuming shorter legs to smaller cities when the 717s start going away.
In my uneducated opinion the 220 won’t be doing 717 style flying just due to the nature of its efficiency and range but with 50 more airframes to come there will be changes in trip construction I’m sure.

I too flew the E175 out of LAX and the 220 flying right now is very similar to what I flew at my “regional”. Will it stay? Who knows. But I’m headed to the 7ER for base/commute reasons. But I Love the 220 overall.

i think what freezing means is;
the 757 has a bigger wing. So you’re not fighting between max flap speed and min maneuver.
the big motors and wing allow it to climb faster.
the double trucks allow for shorter stopping.
the 757 truly is a hot rod compared to the other NB.
but the interior on that 320 is soooo comfy, and the displays are better. 😁

I give the 757/767 an "A". Of course as we all know it is a slowly diminishing category, though with years to go still. All the aforementioned highlights are valid, and the 2L door on the 757 is SO much better for boarding a full flight compared to the 1L door on the 321.
I give the following "grades" to the airbus family.
A321: A-. A very nice plane that we all love. Close to the 757 in awesomeness, but with a two gear truck vs four, and no usable 2L door. Other than that what's not to like?
Newer A320 and 319: B+. Nice to fly (especially the 319) and the smaller size gives the category cool variety (EYW, MEX). Plus electric seats like the 321. Downside? Crappy old displays and radar.
Older A320. B-. We all "love" these, with their crappy screens, old radar, old and headrest-missing manual seats, and deafeningly loud cabin fans. But you're still enjoying flying a bus with a roomy cockpit, tray table etc.
You can't go wrong with either category. A lot of what drives your decision is personal preference, seniority, commuting and all the other countless stuff we consider.
