That’s not what they said.. When asked, “does the future include us wearing hats?” PB said, “It does.”

That is not incompatible with them becoming optional. Wishful thinking? Probably. But we’ll see if that turns out to be a distinction without a difference.

I, for one, hope we join the rest of the entire industry, and make them optional. I don’t feel as passionately about it as I used to as a commuter (for which a hat is a massive PIA), but still…. The world stopped wearing formal hats with JFK.

They expense it all. Shirts, pants, jackets after every trip. Is it a huge gain? No. But why not “me too” this type of stuff: first class deadheads, middle seat deadhead premium, crew meals that they can choose ahead of time.

There is this guy named Drum on here. You should send him a PM and go grab a beer. I think y’all would hit it off.

HVCs not only make comments about the hat, they also comment about the fat man in the little suit.

In another life we called it max velcro.

I'm with fangs on the hat. I could take it or leave it, however the horse blanket needs to go. It's time we joined the 21st century. Normal blazer, optional hat and some type of North Face type black jacket for adverse weather but also something that would look half way decent thru the terminal (option for the blazer). Think its SWA or someone like that has some pretty good stuff in that regard.

Those are just my opinions. And yes, I put that in my survey.

I 100% agree with Drum. (Words I thought I'd never say :D)

Crazy. Plenty of pants options that don't require dry cleaning. I guess my problem is swinging by a dry cleaners is so inconvenient. Haggar pants work great, last long time!

I think the worse thing about the hats is the guys that pull the brim all the way down to their nose.

Maybe they’re just covering up their furrowed brows to keep management happy. Lots of garage doors out there, people. No sense worrying the HVCs before they’ve even had a sip of their canned wine or a handful of goldfish.

Does our official uniform supplier sell Haggar pants? Same question for A Cut Above shirts. I was under the impression uniforms had to be from the approved vendor.
