The worst thing about the uniform are the overweight pilots that wear it. Doesn't matter how nice the uniform is if someone with a BMI of 30 is wearing it.
So you’re wrong, and your post reflects more on you than the individuals you attempted to belittle. |

I’m guessing hat is staying around because a majority of pilots indicated they want the hat to be part of the uniform. I have to say I’m one of them. Don’t necessarily enjoy wearing it, but it does set us apart from other airlines in a good way IMHO.

No you didn’t. No one here believes that any of our customers stopped what they were doing to tell you that they liked your little hat.

That’s maybe $500 a year. Perdiem commensurate with costs and van tips would easily be $1500 more per year. I’ll pay for it all if we can get back to pre-bankruptcy inflation adjusted wages with an escalator clause.

I mean sure, I’d trade $800 for $100,000 too, but as far as I am aware that is not the option we have infront of us. but as our contract goes, we should be given the attire we are expected to wear, regardless of what they are paying us. This is not a either or…not all contract improvements should revolve around pay tables.

We should also be able to expense dry cleaning, like United.

Can they expense all dry cleaning or just while on the road?
I don't think they have to be on the road. I don't see this as much of a gain to the contract. I dry clean my jacket once, maybe twice a year, and that's pretty much it. |
