It’s not that hard.

Yea come on now....Packable, light, black logo-less jacket for the transitional weeks cold walk arounds. No ones wearing it strolling through the terminal.

That’s precisely what FO was wearing when LCA came to cockpit and chewed us both out about. The FO for not wearing an approved uniform and me for not enforcing the policy. If you tools have an issue take it up with your chief pilots and see how well that goes over. Now back to eating your fruit loops.

A great deal to unpack here, but I honestly can’t believe that we have delta captains whose motivation is “I might get chewed out by a LCA.”

You sir are ridiculous! So your assigned a trip and get rerouted to Denver where there's a fluke summer snowstorm (happens all the time) you mean to tell me you carry your jacket year round. TOTD is an understatement.

When do you retire, so we can rid the aviation world of THIS stereotype of Delta pilots? Hopefully that LCA goes with you.

Lol I'm going to guess youre an ATL guy and the LCA was an ATL guy. Because I have yet to see anyone outside of ATL say anything to anyone about uniform appearance. I'll continue to wear my jacket when required, but the FOM says nothing about not wearing any other jacket. It just says the (tugboats captain jacket) must be worn Nov-Mar. So you and the LCA can get off your high horse.

So your response to an LCA being a tool is, to also be a tool?

the FOM actually does say something “about not wearing any other jacket.” You are expressly prohibited from mixing uniform and non-uniform pieces. Probably not an issue on a walk around, but the clowns wearing their stupid techNickal jackets in the terminal should get a reprimand.
