remember in “years to hold” something, 2018, 2019, and 2020 were all very light hiring years (like 400 a year or so).

a better way to measure is how many from the bottom it takes to hold something. If it takes 1500 from the bottom to hold a line in ATL, it took a 2018 hire 3-4 years to get there, and it will take a 2021 hire less than a year to get to the same spot.

Exactly. The time to hold something reference is often radically irrelevant in both directions.
