a better way to measure is how many from the bottom it takes to hold something. If it takes 1500 from the bottom to hold a line in ATL, it took a 2018 hire 3-4 years to get there, and it will take a 2021 hire less than a year to get to the same spot.

remember in “years to hold” something, 2018, 2019, and 2020 were all very light hiring years (like 400 a year or so).

At NYC Flt Ops town hall 2 days ago, BS said the 200/month would continue for next 12 months, which would get the seniority list back to pre-pandemic levels, then they anticipate hiring to return to a more normal level of approximately 100 per month
