So family of 4:
Employee: $100, $100
Spouse: $100, $100
Kid: $50, $50
Kid: $50, $50

A well visit is an incentive the insurance company gives the insured to at least be minimally healthy. All you do is submit proof you did 1 of the following for each person (each year) you want the free money:

“Health screening tests covered by the Wellness Benefit include, but are not limited to:

• Immunizations/Vaccinations (including COVID vaccines and screening tests)

• Annual physical exams

• Routine eye exams

• Routine dental exams

• Mammography

• Biometric screenings

• Colonoscopy

• Bone density screenings

• And more”

Edit: I just did the math and my free wellness money is about equal to premiums. Add 1 claim and it’s well over premiums. It looks like once your age is in the mid-50’s, premiums begin to increase beyond wellness free money.
where do we submit this at? I have critical illness but see no where to submit my health visit. And can we just submit our class 1 on top of dental?

Sign-in ALPA.org-> top right hamburger menu, “benefits”-> critical illness-> critical illness-> file a claim

this links you to voya’s file a claim site. Here you are filling a wellness benefit claim. On the online form you can do it for you and your whole family relatively easy, all at once, and both critical illness and accident at the same time. You need all person’s DOB, SS#s, and dates/providers of visits.

I put my EKG date from the class 1 in lieu of dental.

Yes, but I can only speak to my specific cohort.

I glossed over it for a few years and signed up after listening to one of the engage podcasts on this topic earlier this year. Never had to use either insurance yet, but recently turned in my well visit “claims” for the first time (to the dentist), and just had the deposits hit my checking account. Several hundred dollars that far exceeded my premiums. YMMV based on age and how many family members, but worth checking out. You can sign up anytime through ALPA national website, but certainly worth considering as we coincidentally approach open enrollment in November for the company benefits. If you’re younger, this is as no-brainer as DPMA. Don’t miss it! Basically free money.
Don't forget that they are giving payment holidays for Nov and Dec like they did last year (no premiums due) so it's even cheaper!

If you have kids these two insurances are no-brainers.

So are we back to 50%/100% on reroutes now? I thought it was still at 100% with 200% being grieved.

It was supposed to jump up when they didn't have certain automation in place by a certain deadline. ALPA says that deadline was missed, triggering the extra RR pay. Company naturally disagrees.

I know that. But we had a time that all reroutes were paying 100, and there was a grievance because if they didn’t meet a timeline and they were supposed to pay 200, but the company said they met that timeline. I just don’t know where we were on that process, and if we were back to 50/100 now. Been a bit since I’ve been rerouted.
