Make them (nearly) impossible to use, and voila!! All the “data” you need to kill a program.

In 10 years, I think I've used 2 buddy passes and I know many that haven't used any. It's not all that hard to believe that they're woefully under utilized. As someone who almost always buys tickets, this is a welcome change.

they’re getting rid of buddy passes in 2025 because it’s underutilized……. Give me a break. This management team takes more and more away from us

I'm glad they removed buddy passes because it prevents some of the non-rev shenanigans I've seen happening. Eliminating buddy passes, adding 2 more S2s and adding a secondary companion is a win/win/win in my book!

I've had a few sitdowns with new guys trying to game their commute between DEN and SLC. |

Agreed. Nobody wins the S2 commute game. In fact, everyone loses.
I've had a few sitdowns with new guys trying to game their commute between DEN and SLC. Buddy passes going away is a major loss. I've given out probably about 4-6 every year mostly for going international with friends. Even at the $600ish price it a pretty good deal and has allowed some of my friends to go places that they would never had been able to go. And some of you people are happy that mgmt is taking a benefit away? Just because you or your friends are to scared to use them? |

S2's are the dumbest thing in our travel benefits. It just ends up everybody using S2s then its just back to DOH. The only time ive ever used S2s is because either somebody else was using them or to just prevent last minute jerks using them. Now we have more useless S2s? Great.

Like beernutt stated, it will just be a check-in war and then it reverts to DOH anyway. |

The more seniority you accrue, the more you want to see S2's disappear.
