Scheduling supervisor is the only one I have ever had do it right. Many schedulers will try to give you the IVD daily credit, which is not what you are requesting. 23.I.18.a. is the PWA reference. I think the company really prefers we not know about this PWA provision. You are entitled to use the vacation bank in this manner, don't take no for an answer. They must honor the pilot request to use VACB.

I wish I knew EXACTLY how you did this...I cant get ANY scheduler/supervisor that has heard of this, let alone how to accomplish it. They keep trying to push me to use the smartsheets or contact crew resources. My concern is that with the turnover (juniority) of the schedulers, no one knows how to make it work.

I figured it out. Had to find a former supervisor now working in crew assist. There is apparently a large knowledge gap between the old and new guard...took all of two minutes once i found the right guy.

I’ve tried to follow this thread, but can anyone hold my hand through the best way to do a pairing drop in August. I have a week of vacation left (in November) and two SUPS’s that are tagged onto the tail end of it.
I’ve added nothing to my bank (but might be able to add a little for July), however I don’t even know how to do that…

1. Any purchased days must be attached to existing vacation days. If you have used all your vacation, you cannot just create a pseudo-vacation out of thin air by buying a couple of vacation days out of your Full Service Bank.
2. But even if you did have vacation remaining, the odds of your being awarded a purchased vacation day for the current year are about Absolute Zero. Current vacation year purchases are at the company's discretion--I have tried and failed in prior years even with good staffing. What do you think the odds are this year with the staffing we have right now?
