VAC Bank Strategy?
#31
Just completed the strategy this month. Can confirm a supervisor must put VACB code on your time card. I wasn’t able to specify which vacation week the pay/credit was pulled from. You can put VACB on top of an APD/PD/QPD but not IVD since there is already pay and credit associated with that.

Not true, IVD can also be paid via VACB. 23.I.18. The bank is just time the vacation day comes off of the last scheduled vacation. Don’t use more than a single day IVD if you intend to use vacation bank time to cover the entire trip value. Vacation days and vacation bank are two different animals. I’ve had to call more than once to get it correct.
I had a 6 day trip with the last three days as IVD. They took off 3 of the 4 IVD but kept the dropped trip.
You’ve called back to get them to keep the IVD? Crew Sched’s?

Well, that’s what I thought and told them. The scheduling supervisor informed me the crew resources supervisor said the IVDs had to be moved.

I only use a single day IVD to drop the trip, then explain that I want to use 23.I.18 NOT 23.11.f. from my vacation bank to cover the dropped trip. I get pay and credit for the entire trip versus pay 3:30/3:45 per IVD day and no credit. The vacation bank is then debited accordingly and VACB is shown on the schedule. Check your time card for the pay and credit per 23.I.18. The default is 23.11.f. if you don't make the request and ensure they did it correctly.

OK. Let me just drill down to make sure I understand.
I drop a 5-day with one IVD on the last day of the trip. Schedule looks shows: ////IVD. Time card shows IVD with 3:45 pay no credit.
If I use the VACB, I understand my timecard will show VACB with 26:15 pay and credit.
Will my schedule show VACB, VACB, VACB, VACB, VACB or ////VACB?

I’m trying to enter an IVD for next month. The vacation I’m trying to pull from is 26 March-01 April 2023.
I found the “Individual Vacation Days Request” in the leave request section of PCS. The left hand side of the table I found is confusing to me. Under priority 1 there are two Begin/End entry areas.
I think I understand the right side…I put the day in August where I want the IVD (19Aug-19Aug).
I want to use the 26th of March as the IVD, so what do I put in the two Begin/End areas on the left side of the form?
TIA
