oh, well when you put it that way…

Yeah I see that posted on Deltanet. If their proposal is that industry-leading, why are they hiding behind the mediator's lockdown on details? I'm sure the union would be ok with putting the numbers out there.

Plus, it is very ambiguous of them to call their proposal "industry leading", since all the majors are at basically the same rates. A simple 5% DOS would put us on "top" of the industry...

I voted No………just kidding. **** YES!!

what was delta’s proposal, specifically?

Reading between the lines, it seems that retro might be the main sticking point. Sounds like the company didn't offer much of anything there.

if it were such a great proposal they would certainly be willing to ask the mediator to lift the gag order….right?

considering almost no major Airline has had a raise in the past 4 years*, it can be both “industry-leading pilot compensation in terms of pay, profit sharing and retirement“ and woefully inadequate and not even remotely keeping up with inflation.

* JetBlue and Hawaiian are the only US non regional Pax carriers I know of who have had raises since 2020. Alaska obviously might join them soon.

EDIT tennis had the same thoughts.

say we get 90%….that’s terrible?

It's all about messaging. 90% support might enable the following argument: "The majority of the pilot group is bullying the minority into engaging in self-help they do not wish."

98-99% is the usual result of a vote like this.

I didn’t see an FUPM option…. So I voted YES

Is there a way to put a strike vote ‘pop up’ in ARCOS in order to accept your next green slip? Choices for your vote should be:

1. IN FAVOR of a strike

2. REALLY IN FAVOR of a strike

3. Yes, I WILL FAVOR a strike.

You know…..options

I voted yes btw.

Apparently we crashed the Votenet servers.

If you think pilots are PO’d right now, let’s see how everyone feels after October 13th. That’s when they release Q3 results and give an updated outlook for this year and next year.

I fully expect to see mid teens on the operating margin with about $1.5 billion profit. As capacity comes back to pre-pandemic levels, the operating costs will normalize and the margin will increase into the high teens.

I see $8 billion a real possibility in 2023.

JL calling out “disappointing rhetoric”? Oh that’s rich.

“Pot, meet kettle….”
