I don’t know what portion that is but with a rate increase and GSs returning to normal levels, W2s will be roughly the same but with less burn out. My guess is that in 2023 my and most NB As will be right around this level and overages won’t be a significant issue. Bs will be mostly below this. There will always be the outlier that proves the majority. WB As will be the ones dealing with this and they will be tapering risk, meaning more income generating investments. Sounds like you are convinced we will never know. The IRS will not sanction the plan as ALPA originally envisioned.

I hold off holidays and weekends, on a NB fleet, and it hasn’t taken me 15 years, not even close. At 15 years you are most likely single digit % in your category. I’ve heard this from you before. It’s a tired argument.

Why does the IRS need it to be all or nothing? Out of curiosity - not throwing darts at you

The MBCBP is an IRS qualified defined benefit (DB) pension plan that is subject to different limits than the Delta 401(k) Retirement Plan for Pilots. The MBCBP was part of the Delta Pilots’ original C2019 negotiating objectives. It has already been negotiated and we are waiting on the IRS for a decision. The company will not proceed until they have clarification from the IRS on the details of the plan. The IRS has said they will not approve or deny at this time. We are in a stalemate with the IRS now with the plan as proposed. For it to continue there needs to be a new proposal, likely the optionality is the hang up but the IRS won't even say that's the problem officially.

I really couldn't care less about it anymore. They have ****ed around in getting it approved for so long that it has zero value to me. Wait up, let's go get a beer.
