Correction. Reserves laid unused prior to covid.

I corrected your statement that people are looking for covid era staffing levels. We’re not. We’re looking for pre RG sodomizer staffing levels. Buffers that protected the schedule and allowed phenomenal operational performance while allowing pilots more schedule flexibility.

And yes, mrbojangles, green slips did exist.

Does the implementation of 18hr LC play a roll?
Make sure if you have a GS in and you get an IA call, ACE it. We need to give ALPA all the data points we can for the grievance.

While we can all pine for these days to return, they will not. Fight for the best rules we can, but those days will never return. Hopefully the 4th floor does not run it so hot the whole thing collapses.

The Union should be automatically invetigating all IA awards. I see multiple close in IA awards almost everyday in Atl yet I haven’t had an OOBGS call all month despite having a blanket request in. If I filed an ACE report for everyone of those I’d probably have 30 or 40 this month alone. Multiply that by the number of pilots skipped in the process (WS, OOBWS, GS, OOBGS) and the ACE app goes into grid lock.

Seems much more manageable if Alpa would scout the trip coverage and just automatically open a report for every IA.

ACE App filters reports by rotation. So if 20 pilots write in about the same rotation, it lumps them all together. No gridlock.

i agree a lot of this can trace its roots to the stupid optimizer and these trips that have no slop in them for wx or any kind of delay also

Kind of ironic how all this IA stuff started immediately after we signed the PWA and left section 6. Almost like they knew it was a violation of the status quo.
