I always carry a packable outdoor research rain jacket for walk around. Works great!
Delta offers a rain coat uniform piece? Is it like one of those streaker coats? |

All you cheap mf’ers that wear crappy looking pants and take no pride in your appearance are the same guys leaving cockpits trashed with food crumbs and leaving fingerprints all over the displays. Show some respect for yourself and our profession. And you knuckle heads that are going to flip out about this post are the ones I’m talking about. Rant over.
Insinuating anyone would wear other than the approved pants from the FOM is frankly appalling. How dare you. |

So someone smarter than me should start a poll. Single or double breasted?

There’s only one place I like to see gold over nipples and it isn’t at the airport. |

100% single. The double is old and tired, imo.
As for the rest of the conversation. A lot of you seem to imply there's only one way. If they make jeans acceptable you CAN still wear slacks. Heck, you can wear your uniform and hat to the sim if you are that into it. Same for the hat. Make it optional. Those who want to cover up may do so and everyone else can skip the hat as desired like quite a few already do today. Same with facial hair. Police the grooming but allow nicely groomed beards. Doesn't mean you need to have scruff but a nicely trimmed beard can look good. |

How about something that is actually functional, because the idea that we need to looking like a stuffy businessmen, headed to a corporate meeting is beyond outdated. A professional looking, all weather jacket that has room for a zip in liner, would be much more welcome. Something that fits good, is lightweight, repels rain, blocks wind and can easily fold away into your bag if needed. |

Single Breasted. Other than Delta pilots only other person wearing double is Steve Harvey. Not a good look.

I was absolutely shocked to find out after getting hired that I had to wear a uniform. This is outrageous.

Not sure why it would have been a shock, it's pretty common knowledge that we wear uniforms. |

Lol, I love my Hagars, not that I would ever consider wearing them in uniform. :D

Crewdawg, Turn your sarcasm detector from the O-F-F position to the O-N position. :D Unless of course your above post was sarcasm, in which case I will check on my sarcasm detector. On another front this thread is a perfect example of why APC can be so informative. In the last few pages I learned there is a cure for male pattern baldness and that Lulu lemon does free alterations. Scoop :) |

I thought I layed it on thick enough, but ya I think a sarcasm font would be a nice add. |

Never said anything about being a slob for wearing a rain jacket on a walk around. I did however, say they are out of uniform compliance and should not do that. And I stand by that. So does the FOM.
