Has anyone tried asking for a real LEO and asking if they are being legally detained? Were you advised of your rights before filling out this "paperwork"? Given the chance to speak with an attorney? Of course not. TSA has no power to pursue anyone criminally, all they can do is fine you. They are nothing but miserable government clerks with way too much perceived power. Tell them to pound sand, and they'll go find an easier mark. The reason they harass flight crews is because they think we can't say no.
OK I was with you until you conflated a governor who has no say or control of a federal government organization with that organization. Your beef would be with the person/administration that actually has control of that organization.

This is the same TSA that racially profiles brown people every single time through security.

The same TSA that follows fake pseudoscience which singles out people looking "suspicious" AKA having middle-eastern origin, being late for a flight, shaking, yawning, and other flawed science and claiming they are "body language experts"

The same TSA that hand swab pilot's hands for explosive material when they're the ones flying the damn plane.

The same TSA that dosn't allow pilots out of uniform to bring on liquids greater than 3oz on board because *surprised pikachu face* it maybe explosive.

The same TSA that confiscates plastic butter knives when the FO has a crash axe behind him that could split open a person's head in two.

The same TSA that has drug dogs sniff out pilot's luggages "randomly" as if they would risk their multi-million dollar career doing dumb crahp like that

the TSA is nothing but mall cops with high egos in a blue uniform.

Back in the day (2008 or 2009) I randomly came across a paystub from a TSA agent by accident. They were making double what I was making. And I assume working toward a pension.

Has anyone requested a FOIA request for KCM USP unauthorized items through security reports?

There is 0 chance TSA of equal seniority to pilots are making the same amount. Maybe some brief period leading out of bankruptcy from a regional in 2008 that was something that happened. The neighborhoods with pilots and doctors aren't also filled with ordinary TSA guys. If we all went to the TPA head of TSA house we would see that. If we were to go and peacefully wait there for a few days it would become clear that guy leads a humble life. I'm not saying to do that, but if we did some hearts and minds would change.

No idea if this is accurate, because, internet.

Apparently peanut butter is now a "liquid".

3.4 oz, only, out of uniform. Top secret KCM guidelines forbid me from stating what quantities of PB (and possibly, J) properly vetted, badged, and uniform may take into the secure area.

(Wasn't this a SNL skit?)

How familiar are you with regional contracts during the 00’s? I don’t think 0 chance is the right number. Regional pilots didn’t live in neighborhoods with doctors then.

Because sometimes it’s fun to thrown a wrench in the machine. Keeps life interesting.

I made 25k a year as an RJ FO in the 2010s. TSA definitely made as much or more at that time.
