I thought maybe you were going with the pilots negotiated for it and then it was offered to FAs and everyone else.
To answer your question:
When DL pilots voted away their pension, they chose to do that for future Delta pilots too. I’m pretty sure we weren’t in the forefront of your minds then nor should we have been. The pilots then gained retirement benefits in the form of high 401k contributions that help junior pilots with a longer timeline more than senior pilots with a shorter timeline. Not sure why they took that angle when clearly many wanted their pension back, but thanks.
The way I see it my pension was voted away too; I just didn’t get a vote in the matter.
