Don’t know how you can be upset at a group that is only getting back a portion of what they lost. For info only, I was hired in 2007 and wasn’t here for bankruptcy. That's what perdiem is for. First year pay is what regional captains make now and anyone on their second year makes 200K. Most of my FOs are 20 somethings and a good number are female. That's just a little patriarchal for me now and they don't need the chaity. With year one maybe I pick up a round or the tip. The whole point of raising year 1 pay was so they didn't need charity because of the rookie hazing Delta demanded in pay.
I fly with a lot of new people and enjoy doing it.

While I absolutely appreciate the occasional drink on your behalf, my family makes well into the 1%. I really don't need to be bought a meal unless it's some kind of special occasion. But you must me let me buy you something the next day. And please don't make it awkward when I try to politely refuse.
