I get the point someone else made regarding A/B. I haven't come across a Captain on an OOBWS, it's only been other FOs. When WBA finally happens I'll reign in OOBWS opinions with the Bs. I'll also refrain from discussing Ferrari maintenance tips, finding a hangar for my jet and progress on my Boat Captain license for my retirement yacht.
I'm sure most will be envious of your successful "side gig". Rightfully so!

He who dies with the most toys wins. He who worked the least and dies with the most experiences had the best time.

Why can't anyone make a good ski glove with a touch finger pad. GRRRRRR. #chairliftalonetimeontuesdayimeanwednesday?ha?

I'm kidding about the toys. The kind of money those toys require gets reinvested, although there is a case to be made for a used Ferrari. I don't discuss the side gig much unless another crew member brings it up. There are so many things more interesting than collecting rent. I've run across vineyard owners, a trucking company operator, loan brokers, attorneys, a tobacco farmer, tour company operator and numerous other interesting businesses. The APC side hustle thread doesn't even scratch the surface of what pilots are doing outside of the cockpit.

I love when I fly with these types of people, I always learn so much and enjoy these conversations. Even fellow real estate side hustle conversations are great, I've learned alot from these as well. A lot more interesting than the standard, where ya from... I also like flying with fellow GA nerds, but those are few and far between unfortunately.

Experiences are where it's at. The book Die with Zero by Bill Perkins does a great job articulating that concept. WB reserve FTW.

Why ruin a good day on the slopes with a cell phone?

I at the stage where I'm "house guy". Once that settles down I'll find other hobbies. Right now it's finding things to fix every time I get a few days off. Patio siding was nice and caulked last spring when I was home a week.

So I can FB post my reserve beard on the slopes. I know... vain. But in my circle of pilot friends we all have to 1 up each other and rub thier noses in it. My late 50s corporate buddy posted himslf at a Taylor Swift concert on a work trip. Kinda cringy but we all had a laugh. Oh, and sometimes I'm on short call.
