- Pilots will have retirement contributions made to the
MBCBP equivalent to 2 times the contribution amount on the benefit amount - Example: For 2024 the retirement contribution amount is 17%.
The Pilot is at the benefit cap of $14,340. The Pilot will have a
retirement contribution of (17% x 2) x $14,340 = $4,875.60 - If unable to contribute these amounts to the MBCBP, the equivalent amount will be paid 50/50 cash and PRAP
- Eliminated all offsets (except for United employment)
- Waiting period reduced to 60 days
One of my buddies is out on LTD at UAL and he says he is capped around 8K. Did those already out on disability not get grandfathered up to the new limits?

Southwest basically done hiring for the rest of the year.

Beginning to look like the pilot shortage may be over…

Which in the big scheme of things, it doesn't matter. The argument made many of the 67'ers has been that there is nothing but green grass between the younger pilot and the end zone. Many objective pilots, especially those that have been in the industry for close to 30 years, have pointed out that the hiring could end tomorrow for a myriad of different reasons like recession, 911 etc and suddenly instead of a need, there is a surplus.
This just demonstrates how quickly the music can stop.

Anderson and the team he hired ****ed up on on out of the money fuel hedges.
Anderson tried to get back to even.
Anderson got fired by the Board (everyone has a boss)
Anderson is among the smartest people I've ever met.
The best true blue union leader I've ever met belived Anderson.
Anderson had not been wrong before.
Thank God for Malone. PASSED WITH 82% in favor.
We fired Malone a week later.
Folks lied about TA1.
Same folks did a great job getting to C19.
I'm thankful for C16 & C19. Thankful for the political enemys that got it done.
I'm a has been. Nice to just fly Delta Jets.
