Default 67 is dead,

Looks like the Dem's came through. Nobody needs to work past the age of 65!

Curious if DL Mgmt knew this ahead of time and that's why we are seeing a huge number of new hires this month.

Unlikely, but certainly not dead yet.

I thought the plan was to front load a big portion of our hiring in the first Q or two of the year? What numbers are we seeing this month?

Agree it’s very unlikely to be salvaged in reconciliation this year, but I’ll bet it will happen eventually.

Meh, if the shortage levels out and hiring gets back to normal they’d really have no reason to revisit. An ICAO change would be the trigger to revisit.

I think only the legacies are hiring “full blast”, everyone else is either hiring very little or stopped already. The slow down will bring balance to the regional airlines issues.

This low season hasn’t been as full as last year. I think we will be profitable, but I don’t know the other carriers.

Agreed. I'm so relieved it didn't get extended.

I would agree with that. And when it does, the US will follow suit quickly.
