I think you mean "conference."
"reconcilation" is what got us ObamaCare.
Also, the longer it gets pushed out, fewer pilots are actually going to want it...and fewer pilots will fund the effort...and it will eventually fizzle out.

Seriously doubt the “funding” was hardly worth a mention. Appeared to be more personal involvement from what I could see.

There will always be a new class of 64year olds wanting to stay on.

Certainly a lot of personal inovlvement. We'll never forget Delta Dave with his striptease and flex on the FAA adminstrator.
But their lobbyist isn't free or cheap, and happy to milk a bunch of multimillionaires embarked on a lost cause...nor are the costs associated with the frivolous DFR suit they've filed....and they will likely be on the hook for ALPA's legal fees, as well.

https://www.usnews.com/news/top-news...ment-age-to-67
Key points:
The Senate Commerce Committee voted 14-13 to reject the retirement age hike after the FAA said earlier this week it would prefer additional research was conducted before Congress raised the age.
- no more details on 'additional research', but if the airline lobbiests keep pushing for it the FAA will likely do it and this could be revisited in the future, or just fade away.
The Senate bill would also approve five additional round-trip flights from Reagan Washington National Airport sought by Delta Air Lines but opposed by other airlines.
- score for Delta! Do any of these go beyond the permiter or just more frequencies to ATL/DTW/BOS/JFK?
The Senate bill prohibits airlines from charging fees for families to sit together and requires airlines to accept vouchers and credits for at least five years
- at least customers get a small consolation. 5 years to use a credit is Yuuuge for some. Will the airilnes restrict more of the discounted fare buckets to not allow credit at all (e.g. Basic Economy minus)?
address a shortage of 3,000 air traffic controllers by directing the FAA to implement improved staffing standards and to hire more inspectors, engineers and technical specialists.
- will it be enough to prevent door plugs from popping out?

now the government would love for us to work longer at highest earning potential / tax bracket… but one hopes safety overrides money in the end.

Did he just stand up and wing it in the moment? He realized standing there was awkward and decided to take his jacket off and strike a pose?
Did a group of sober adults decide that was a good idea in a professional setting?!
If my kid was prepping for a high school presentation and said he would have another kid stand up and flex, I would tell him it was a dumb idea.
