We’re living longer. We’re more productive later in life. Things have changed since the 30’s or the 50’s. Some might even call such thinking progressive.
If a person wishes to continue working productively in the market place why should the government stop such virtuous activity? Plenty of 65-year-olds are fit enough to continue what they’re doing so why should government fiat prevent it? Especially when the burden on SS seems to only increase.
I suppose that’s the argument in favor of what those 2 guys are doing.

Oh, great! Another "argument" for this cash grab. Now it's about "living longer."
I can't keep all these bogus narratives straight. It was about "mentorship," "the pilot shortage," "what's best for the flying public." Then the truth started to emerge when the going got tough; we saw the old guys' true colors. They started to let it slip that it was about "a million more dollars," or "two extra years on disability." Some even advocated for insurance fraud.
They called themselves the "greatest generation," compared themselves to Rosa Parks, and Delta Dave even did a partial striptease before classlessly "flexing" on the FAA Administrator, while probably the most unethical Congressman in decades egged him on, for the sake of his Delta pilot brother's bank balance.
Truly, these people, these fortunate but untimately highly unlikable multimillionares, are a sight to behold--and an example of what not to be and how not to act.

Some might say he and Mike Lee are simply matching government policy to reality.

The increasing life expectancy since 1950 was addressed in 2008 with a jump in retirement age from 60-65. Life expectancy hasn't moved much since 2008.

Lot of folks showing their true colors in this thread. Next downturn/furlough when I'm asked to vote for paying for COBRA benefits, lowering the ALV or any other mitigation efforts I'll be voting with one finger. And it won't be my thumb.

no change in your attitude. 67 is about me me me. Voting against furlough benefits is also about me me me. At least you’re consistent.
