DALPA Pay raise
#71
I initially felt the same way. But after speaking with my reps, I think it is worth pointing out that 108 is only for the ~ 20 full-time FPL folks, who are required to work 18 days in the office per month. And most of the them are paid by the company, not ALPA. In addition, the majority of these folks work more than 18 days, a month, in the office or out...

What did you average in days worked per month? How does your 99h/days worked stack up to the 108h/18 days?

I recently read LEC C16 and there were a few paragraphs in there from their chairman about the PMRC proposal. The most persuasive argument against the raise that I have yet to hear a good rebuttal was the idea that there isn't a shortage of volunteers and most of them do so because it's a higher calling of service to the pilot group (despite the disgusting narrative from some posters here or on other social media platforms) and that this raise would only stand to increase volunteers who are interested in making more money without having to fly.

My work days flown was 90 in 2023. I bid mostly reserve and do GSs about 6 months out of the year. A REG line would be more representative of the average, median etc. On call days is 17-18 per month. To average 108 every month is 1296 per year, that's on the high side IMHO. I really don't care if the company is paying the bill but if the justification is mean hours, that's bullpucky.

Edit: Actually, I don't see any situation where the PMRC would propose, and get passed, a reduction in compensation.
