Good info... what's behind LCA openings posted for 330/350/717, and LVP openings posted for 320/350 though? Is it replacing retiring/upgrading standards pilots (for the WB, probably), or something more? Without any 737/320 LCA postings, it seems less likely directly related to hiring, but one can hope.

less than a year after purging/downsizing SLIs?

Flight ops with another planning snafu. How do Laughter and Gumm keep their jobs?

Wow…an AE on a holiday?

Considering the small number of positions, it probably didn’t take long to publish

It's gotta be retirements. The 330/350 is purely retirements and the 717 had a bunch of a/c reactivated. But I would have thought it would have been already covered. Until the 320 gets any LCA positions, it's not for hiring.

I am still moving up a page per month between wide reports, so people are still getting fired. My only conclusion is that they are trying to free up everyone for actual flying. However, they seem to be sending as many pilots as they can in many categories between NYC and ATL to early CQ in July and August vs pushing it out into shoulder months... Either they want all the sims free for new hires after summer or there is a big fleet shakeup coming that will take up availability. Personally, I don't think they know.

Or maybe they just feel the airline is properly staffed?

It's taking FO SLIs and making them CA SLIs. Does not increase the overall number of instructors.

Wait, we have 10 pilots that have discipline terminations every month in one BES?? Wow!! /S

For the record, not one is getting “fired”. They are reaching the mandatory retirement age, one that is 5 years beyond that which they 100% knew about and expected from the day they got hired.
