Ed has said previously that he preferes Mumbai-ATL for connecting traffic, also, no compeition with Air India for directs. That would kill the yield.

Dubai is a toss-up. As a financial center, I could see Dubai getting service from NYC, but you're up against Emirates which blows us out of the water with their hard and soft product so... Detroit has the largest Arab-American population in the US, so perhaps that.

The start is consolidation of the 7ER from Lax back to the East coast.

Seeing how there's never been a Delta 350 at JFK, yeah.

Yes. Save it for the 2026 AE thread once the 35K is in the picture. 2025 is the year for SEA or SLC.

Again, when BOM was launched early 2020 it was from JFK, and the January 2020 MOAB stated a JFK777 base was likely later that year. Currently no 350s there, but I absolutely see it as possible if BOM returns, plus ICN, and a few others. RUH? I could see TLV as a -1000 market.

777 base in JFK, that's not what I heard during those discussions. I think (had we kept both plane and route) we'd see what the yields looked like and then decided for basing, but the discussions I was privy to were DH ATL crews to JFK to operate those trips (or have them as part of a longer rotation type scheme). If yields were satisfactory over a longer term as we operated that pair, then the discussion was perhaps to have the 777 based at JFK.

You post pretty accurate info here on the forum, so maybe your memory of it is better than mine.

As best as I can recall it, it was "a JFK777 base is possible later in the year". I wonder if I can find the AE somewhere on DLnet. It had it on the little Base/Category map they liked to post now and again. I think BOS320 was on it too.
