It's too much for mine, explain the morality and ethics please.

This. Like our own FC pax already do. And UA pilots.

Couldn't agree more. Let's use our capital on things that help all pilots and let them work on that outside of negotiations. Same with meals, no matter how good of language we get, its still crap airplane food. Pay me more and I'll keep bringing my own food or buy it on overnights.

There's an easy way to fix this. Well, easy to conceptualize, not easy to get the company to agree to. Add a condition to the reserve-required formula that says that the reserves required for any given day in a bid period can never be higher than the reserve days awarded to that day via PBS, minus one.

Excepting the bid massaging timeframe, every category would open with every day as blue, and as people adjust their schedule (except for people dropping reserve days), the total number of reserve days in the month would stay constant. If one day gets lower, another gets higher.

This change would also incentive the company to adequately staff categories, because if they don't have enough people in base and/or assign enough reserves, the rest of the category gets a free for all to change their own schedule, including dropping.

UA pilots get more choice than their first class does I believe. They have like 25+ choices. They also get crew meals on their deadheads.

Agreed, I'd prefer a genuine discount on FCFL. I'm sure I am not the only one when I say this: I never Non Rev, as we always purchase tickets.

You don't like getting the FA leftovers. I love it when they figure out what they want first before even asking what we want up front.

"We only have the Pasta today."....

The meals are subpar at best. I could get behind being paid for a meal, unless a hot meal is provided, in which case we get to choose when signing in for the trip.

Our meals are not like UA though. We get Chicken, Beef, or Vegetarian.

It's almost always shortrib, some sort of baked chicken, or some cheese pasta dish. There are not 25 to choose from

I would rather negociate something more valuable like pay or vacation.

The short haul flights surely don't care about this.

The only way I see to fix the tendies from picking everything over first is to have meal choice by hire date for the entire crew and that can be worked out when they come and ask "how long and how bumpy is it going to be"

Let the other groups whine about getting ZED or whatever. Unless it's specific to only the pilot group getting - whatever we gain here will be diluted by the other 85k employees. We can just tag onto it anyways.

At our earnings and with our schedule we can afford to travel more than the average employee-. Delta would be smart to market better deals (more discount) with confirmed for less because they are losing business from our group flying other carriers based on price- but whatever I don't think we should negotiate that because they will give it to everyone anyways. Maybe negotiate an annual allotment of positive space passes for pilots - they can use them on personal vacations. Or to commute if **** hits the fan.

Any of this other nonsense of fixing their ancient scheduling software is not our job to do either. If they want to run IT the way they do and pay 500m for another meltdown that could have been prevented thats their problem as well.

They already want us to spend our time (and negotiating capital) to figure out how to read paychecks without rates or our hours worked detailed on them. (But "it's important to recognize the progress made so far") Thats all after they keep money owed (gaining interest) for work completed for an extra month like it's a normal thing.

More QOL, higher rates, less work, more schedule flexibility, less short call, are the kinds of things I want.

Having the junior lead 22 year old flight attendant give away the last overcooked fat greasy short rib to his coworker in the back is just not worth negotiating for.

And that will be forgotten within months of a new PWA being implemented, and "why don't we get crew meals like UA?" will be the question of the day. Add in a few years of new hires who weren't around when the "get rid of crew meals and replace with more money" discussion has been long forgotten, and I think we should keep crew meals as is, and improve on them. It took us literally until this contract to get them at the level we now have.
