It's like when I fly with guys who say they don't want first class deadheads because it will take too much revenue away from Delta because they can't sell those first class seats. Well, United deadheads in first class and they are just as profitable as us now.
They are not as profitable. We’re yet to see if they can pull off their gains for years like DL has - UA also has much more debt & less market cap. They also don’t have green slips or IA’s (premium non-existent for junior portion of group), no PB Days, WB global reserve, can’t book JS.. all of these critically more important than a -still sub-par- crew meal and a first class 2hr flight that does in fact dig into revenue.

Instead we've let this slide, and there will be the devil to pay to unwind that.
As a captain, I really don’t think the chief pilot is going to have my back fighting over crew meals. It’s just easier to not engage. One of the bases actually went to far to show us their manual that says we get last choice. Sometimes our meals are marked as “pilot.” In that situation, it’s black and white though.

Our contract should dig into revenue as much as possible. Particularly in QOL areas (such as those) that have been neglected for years.

I’m not a DAL shareholder and never will be. I don’t give a c**p about the company’s bottom line, as long as it remains solvent and our contract remains comparable to the rest of the industry.

Sounds like babby misses his crew meals and first class deadheads.

Have flown with a few former UAL pilots and plenty of friends over there. Their standard qualifier is that it's decent for airplane food. Airplane food is airplane food.

All for better DH rules. C+ window/aisle should be the floor.

Are you talking about blue days before or after the 20th? In most categories, every day is blue before people start dropping on the 20th month prior. After the 20th, everyone who can drop does, and most blue days go away. If the company were to add more numbers to the blue days, they would still get dropped until black, then there would be even more trips in open time for res to staff.

Is this a joke?

1) UAL certainly can overtake us in profitability, even with their DH rules.

2) I do not care if revenue gets eaten by this provision. We will be fine. The company will be fine. Give me the FC DHs.

And that, young Jedi, is why you fail.

Dude, your bar is way too low! My spouse flies for AA…First Class to Training and DHs. The mickey mouse BS that we have is deplorable! Eliminate all the BS, book FC, if not available then #1 in the upgrade list in seniority order. End of story…
