Correct and because it’s called “inverse assignment,” we have junior pilots that think they are entitled to the premium trips first. They are ignoring the fact that the company is skipping the entire trip coverage ladder.

I heard a rumor that the company made $100 million in 23.M.7 payments in December alone. I remember the company getting angry because it thought the pilot group was abusing sick leave by $42 million per yer. This is shaping up to be $1.2 billion per yer. My prediction is we get a contract 6 months early because the company needs this fixed ASAP.

Bingo. This is why patience is a virtue, rather than rushing to a deal that sells ourselves short.

I was called “wildly off base” on here just a few months ago for saying this would eventually amount to hundreds of millions of dollars per year. As it is currently playing out, my estimate was too low. This is a growing investment that will be well-positioned for the start of section 6.

Fair point.

I agree. It’s doesn’t change the fact that pilots like myself are being shorted about $10 grand per month. Quick slips should fix our pilots’ problem while keeping the company’s problem. I see the company trying to get sick leave verification back as a good thing because it means quick slips are coming.

I'll gladly admit I did not see it at first and I'm coming around to see your argument. Consider me wrong and mind changed 🫡

I supported you and agreed with you. I also added that until the bean counters see a cross over point and put the kibosh on it, they were going to run with it.

Seems we are rapidly approaching that "number". This is leverage for us going in to Sect 6. I hope we don't pizz it away.

I'd turn this place into a pseudo-meme page but I only know how to post gifs. I haven't figured out how to post pics yet. I know they're somewhere in here....

I feel so conflicted! The Forum Rules do say, "Excessive usage of images in forum posts is generally frowned upon." But then again, define 'excessive' when the humor is often so friggin funny and apropos...

Not being excessive is absolutely fair. Too much and it's not funny anymore. "Would this annoy Fangs" is a reasonable Rubicon
