There are guys getting a hundred hours a month to sit at home and me, trying to sharpshoot OT to recover credit from dropping trips earlier in the month, is panicking to get above 60. So I have to ask, what has changed? Has there been a 6 fold increase in people auto-accepting? Or is the company running super lean and leaving scheduling desks unstaffed?

This bring up a discussing an FO and I were having at cruise. Would it be considered deal making if you called scheduling and told them if they run a trip for IBWS, that you'd take it? NOT have them award it directly to you, but just run the step, seems perfectly fine, but I wouldn't be shocked to see some consider it deal making. Of course, that's assuming you could reach a scheduler. Maybe keep a teams chat open. :D

Could be both. I've anecdotally noticed an uptick of people talking about 23M7.

Probably both. I never bothered with OOBWS until a few months ago when I noticed people junior to me getting 23M7 payouts for trips I was eligible for. Now I have OOBWSs in. I tried it without auto accept, that ended after the 37th time my phone rang in a day, so now it's auto accept. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Doesn't the OOBWS require you updating it daily so as not to be more than 48 hrs out? Or are all OOBWS proffers?

All OOBWS are proffer. Only in base requires constant updating

Yes. Both IAs. One had 3x calls. On drive in (I live 60-90 minutes to jfk depending on time of day) and phone rings. My ancient pre-Android Auto radio just gives number not contact name. Answer assuming its either FO or CS wanting an ETA. Its not. "What the hell are you doing. Im senior to you. I should have the trip" or similar. "Bro, I just called CS and asked for a scheduler after the IA call"

Both times it was a NYC area number so I'm guessing senior local guys. (I have a FL number but live in NJ)

Hopefully you passed this on to PRO STANS. That's uncalled for action on their part.

Also if they knew who you are, our very on Darth Delta pilot, I think they'd think twice about even harassing you again.

I believe both. Everyone I talk to is now putting in WS/OOBWS/GS of in hopes of IA use triggering 23M7 for them. At the same time, schedulers are tired, overworked, underpaid, and not showing up.

Spoke with a dispatcher on my JS who said it was not uncommon to see a scheduler crying during an IROP.

And people wonder why so many in ops loathe pilots. I wonder how many people yell at schedulers for not giving them the right trip.
