The statistical impossibility speaks for itself especially when #2 is the 4th day of the month.
You said so yourself, it’s not an IA, it’s a 23M7 call. So people on IA 2 or 3 are getting the same callout as everyone else. They are not getting removed from the ladder or out at the bottom of the list because they already had an IA. |

I got an IA call, immediately hung up and called back for it. On hold for 20 mins and the guy that got the award was 7,000 numbers senior to me, about 45-50% more senior to me. I physically could not answer the phone faster than I already am.
Maybe my case is an anomaly but I consistently lose out on IAs to guys way senior to me. Not just overall company # but in category %. I had two last month where I hit * on the phone to be connected to scheduling because hanging up and calling back was not working. I go in the queue, wait 20 mins, find out it was assigned to someone junior or senior to me 15 mins ago. Like in one case, I got the call at say 1310 and the trip was covered at 1307. The other two times this happened in December the trip was assigned 1-2 mins after the VRU callout. So either someone has a direct line to scheduling, or sits playing this game. Met one dude a couple trips ago who was jump seating that said “a few times I’ve called them and told them I want ___ trip. Where is it in the trip coverage? Oh. Ok. Put me on hold and I’ll be here when it goes to IA.” ZERO transparency from the union side of this once the company pulls the trigger on IAs too. Needs to be addressed and needs to end. |

Covered at least 20 minutes earlier. One call came 1:15 AFTER the trip was covered. Several never came at all. The one I returned immediately was answered immediately and I was told it had been covered. Scheduling doesn’t even try to make it look legitimate anymore and just makes the 23M7 log and covers the trip without sending out a call. |

…so they have magical powers to be first multiple times when a free for all call goes out?

Anyone noticing the time stamps in the IA calls?
“Hello, this is delta pilot crew scheduling. It is currently 10:57 am…..” Checks clock….. It’s 11:13 am. My assumption is that the system can only make so many calls at a time. And by the time it gets to me, 15-20 minutes have already passed since the initial calls went out. And surprise surprise, the trips I’ve been called for are covered before I can get someone to answer the phone. |

Are you saying random pilots are calling you directly mad at you?
Both times it was a NYC area number so I'm guessing senior local guys. (I have a FL number but live in NJ) |

Yes. Both IAs. One had 3x calls. On drive in (I live 60-90 minutes to jfk depending on time of day) and phone rings. My ancient pre-Android Auto radio just gives number not contact name. Answer assuming its either FO or CS wanting an ETA. Its not. "What the hell are you doing. Im senior to you. I should have the trip" or similar. "Bro, I just called CS and asked for a scheduler after the IA call"
