The change just happened within the past couple days, so it’s not going to impact your previous checks.

Although I wouldn’t put it past this company at all for payroll to “accidentally” collect back pay from pilots’ future checks after their system detects negative adjustments to previous time cards.

Do we have any legitimate update on pay transparency? It was supposed to be end of 2025 and the last I heard it was quarter one of 26.

I’m with you on most of those points, but #1 should mirror American’s policy (no backup required, period). We shouldn’t be seeking less than AA’s status quo.

AA's is a actually a bit restrictive. Pilots should be trusted to get to work. If we can't, we don't get paid and we don't get disciplined.

If you are unreliable (miss 3+ commutes a year) then you need to abide by the policy in place today.

Have you read it? It’s not even remotely as restrictive as ours.

No backup required, all commutes by other means (car, train, etc.) are also covered.

If the policy is deemed to have been used excessively, AA management can require proof of adequate seat availability for on-line flights 24 hours prior to departure… OR (a terrific loophole) the pilot can prove the mere existence of any off-line flight that is scheduled to operate 24 hours prior to departure (without regard to its seat availability). No discipline results.

The difference between their contractual commuter policy and ours is night and day. We shouldn’t be asking for any less, nor attempting to invent additional restrictions for ours.

Guess I have nothing to worry about since I’ve never actually gotten an IA. There is one advantage to being screwed by 23.M.7.

I just ignored CS calls for what would be IA3 for February on a relatively chill month, so I can see how someone may get 3+ in a month without making any "deals"

I can’t. I’ve been getting called 8-10 times per day for months. Trip always gets covered by someone else while I was waiting on hold with scheduling. Tomorrow it all goes away. Doesn’t matter now.

Have you ever gotten through to the scheduler under 5 minutes or are you always waiting long times?

Inversely proportional to my need to talk to them.
