Yes. 2 of them. They are very nice.

back on topic. Since we’re negotiating in public I’d be interested in getting some alpa control over the optimizer. Some of our nb fleets used to fly 4-5 leg 4-day trips, and we still managed to be a profitable air line. Pretty nice. Let’s try that again.

You left a part out.

Flat tire? I guess but we’d prob have to show a receipt for a tire lol

once again, missing the point. Honestly, this is something a tool chief pilot would say.

Are you still an LCP?

That's my point, less emphasis on PSC would likely net more approval across the group. Some act like if locals oppose PSC, then they're just greedy locals who oppose all commuter improvements, which isn't the case.

Are locals getting disciplined for this type of stuff? I agree that if commuters are protected for missed trips for their commutes, locals should be protected for cases like a car breaking down, etc... But honestly, how much of a factor is that for the average local pilot? As a local, I guess I don't see it as a that big of an issue for us.

I got dragged through CPO fun because my truck broke down on the way in for a GS. Driving down I-80, sensor the dealer just replaced under warranty but didn't clip cable in fully disconnected. Under the turbocharger so not able to touch it until it sat and cooled off 30 minutes. Then I was covered in crap.

"You should leave with enough time to get truck towed and then Uber to airport"

"You neeed a backup plan for your ground commute"

Actual things said by CPO with ALPA present.

How about "I made a reasonable attempt to get to work on time and circumstances outside my control are impeding me from getting there on time so I shouldn't face any punitive action"? I don't think a commuter should be punished if they made proper use of the commuter policies just like I dont think a pilot in base should get a pipi slap for getting a flat or a fender bender driving to the employee lot.

I already lived the military (army) "no excuse, you could've walked" bs attitude. Sh!t happens sometimes and we're not accomplishing a mission.

The real question is:

Why don't you to this day STILL not have a motorcycle with a saddle bag mount for your work luggage? I've already seen a DL pilot walking around the airport with a motorcycle helmet in hand. No excuses, sir. Dismissed 🫡

So QS processing starts at 0001E on 2 March. What time does the first QS get awarded? What is sr number of first recipient?

I’ll set the over / under at -
0300E 2 mar for first award
sr number sub 750.

would prove old guys/gals can answer ARCOS in the middle of the night!

Or the whole thing will implode and everyone with a QS in will get $2.50 in the settlement…

That was my point. I have zero problems with protecting drivers but I’ve never heard of a pilot being disciplined for driving issues(cx500 notwithstanding), at least nowhere near the level of commuters that can’t make it. Just not sure it’s worth the negotiating capital.
