I bid it and it’s not showing awarded currently a 717A so maybe they don’t want to shrink the A side anymore.

It's just a backfill for the guy leaving, pretty normal. This is why it really shouldn't matter what's on the AE, if you want something, just bid it.

I think it’s Weird because nothing else is getting backfilled on shrinking fleets (717, etc). Maybe a sign that there’s life yet for the 330s on the west coast?

Oh if I had a nickel for every time they included a onesie, twosie backfill on the mock and then failed to actually award it…

They have already said they plan to keep the 330 SEA category open. Plus, we are increasing the 330 destinations out of SEA this summer to match Alaska and their Euro ambitions. This still fits into the 350 = Asia / ultra long range and 330 = Europe model they previously stated was the general plan.

Im usually pretty negative on the 2014 wall falling anytime soon, but after looking at this mock, I agree with you. Call the Kool Aid man and Chris Jericho; wall falling this year.

"The wall falling" is a prediction from how long ago that failed completely. Why are we using this as a signpost? As more retirements hit, next man up.

Agree completely. IMO, it's a terrible word, since there will always be some 'wall' falling in perpetuity. Plus it comports a change in reality/bidding behavior that isn't actually there. Someday, a post-covid hire will be a WB A, for example. It's inevitable...

"Milestone" would be better. But many here have taken to repeating 'wall', so here we are.
