The only thing remotely the same is the nose and egg shape cross section of the 727. The wing tail and most systems have evolved into a completely different airplane from the 737-100 to the max 10. https://youtu.be/bz1vltQSbMQ?si=bWpjEVhadpVc21uC

You guys really don't know what you're talking about here. It's quite obvious.
Umm, they’re different. The outer flaps segments are different.

There’s a reason Vref is 5 knots less on a Neo

The fact that MCAS exists shows that the airframe is obsolete. Boeing needs a new clean sheet aircraft to complete with Airbus.

I think the 220-500 is going to be a big part of market share of 150 or so seat A/C.

I agree from a pilot and engineer's perspective yet the market is split roughly 60/40. Given the extra years in production and sales for the neo family, the 737max family is performing well as a product... so from a management perspective, everything is great.

I'm not convinced but hope I'm wrong.

Thats because airlines have no choice.

LoL ok Kelly Johnson, whatever. It is the same wing. Nothing different. Do you understand that part?

I find it pretty funny some of you here, not even involved in selection process and working with the OEM for our fleets, yet you come on here thinking you know it all. It's truly laughable. Funny I don't recall you in any of our meetings with airbus back when we were thinking about purchasing the 321 NEO. Or the MAX or the 350 or the 787 for that matter.

The wing is the same. You are not an engineer are you? Again, just a derivative of the original design. It's not a new airfoil.

That is different than the classic 73 (-100/-200) to the NG wing and MAX wing (MAX and NG are the same, only difference is the tip devices design). They are different airfoils. Different numbers and nomenclature. The 321 wing (airfoil) is not.

I’m not talking about the wing but thanks for the insults.
