Admittedly all my spreadsheets are just adaptations of JFB's creations.

What does Widget Seniority do that the DALPA Pilot Dashboard and the PROJ CAT LIST don't?

Ok. I just go the Crew Resources page and look at the PROJ CAT lists to see where I'd sit. But then again I'm a cheapskate.

I'm the same way. Nothing in widget seniority you can't figure out from the plethora of company/union resources. Or if you're savvy with a spreadsheet, you can really have some fun. I will say, Curly does a good job with his website. But ******* him for profiting off our personal information.
Obviously that’s sarcasm. Curly has literally 50 times the analysis I have ever done. I don’t get the hate and ingratitude for Widget seniority going on. Those of you bashing it have obviously never poked around there to form an informed opinion. There is a TON of good info available there. Your position in any seat, what it would be at any other seniority number. All in in like 3 seconds. Every AE with bunches of analysis. Retirements and who’s coming up soon. Seniority looking backwards. Category comparisons. Pay rate comparisons. All at a glance for easy comparison. And more... Y’all think it’s so easy and of limited, then YOU spend your time doing that work. And he charges like a dollar a month. I’m probably in my retirement seat, and I subscribe. ALPA’s site is worthless by comparison. OBTW, I wasn’t a fan of his posting style or opinions before he retired. At all. But he puts out a really useful product, and actually backed out of advocacy when he retired. Respect. /rant. |
I've poked around Widget Seniority and found it useful, but not worth the premium over JFB. I also find his access to pilot data concerning.

My only guess is he's working as a contractor for them, or DALPA, in some capacity. Otherwise, yeah how does he get access to the lists and how the heck can he then charge for the product? Never made sense to me.

Maybe he just has some buddies that send him the PDFs? I mean they all can be downloaded from Deltanet in seconds
I would hope that this is not the case. |

Oh, I guess I can stop spending, no wasting my free time collating and making the graph after every AE then. Since it’s of so little value.

I hope you don't stop for the benefit of everyone who visits this forum. But I understand it's time consuming. |

This is just my 2 cents, but I'm not the least bid 'concerned' about Curly's access to our SL's and AE results. Again, this is coming from someone who often clashed with him, and found his pre-retirement online persona irritating, much like 🌹 & 💵. (Though interestingly Curly was often reported by people who actually flew with him to be a great dude to fly with). I wonder if those who do take issue will feel the same way when John Bell retires. Will you find it in your heart to make an exception for him? Honestly, will you be consistent in your outrage?
Curly was employed here for 30-something years. That ought to earn him a little credibility and understanding. He's not just 'some dude', and he's not tunneling into the servers via a back door. Juuuuust a little different than Easybid (which I also miss, along with iCrewMax) Honestly, I don't even understand why retiree's access to large parts of DLnet is restricted after their retirement, to include basic 'lists'. Suddenly they aren't trustworthy? By that logic, I guess military retiree's shouldn't be able to get on base anymore? Which is, of course, silly. I have ZERO doubt the company is fully aware of his access. Both before and after his retirement. Thus, how he gets the lists is irrelevant, frankly. |

I personally find that incredibly hard to believe, but that’s what I’ve heard from people who flew with him. |
